Ancestor Money

The first time I heard of Ancestor money was around the year 2013-2014, watching a program on PBS. It was interesting learning about Chinese culture, but what caught my attention is the way they chose to honor their deceased, by burning Ancestor money.

It is originally known as Joss Paper but is also known as ghost paper, ancestor money, Hell/Heaven money. Regardless of what you call it, it will be represented by the Jade Emperor. The Jade Emperor is considered the deity over all money on Earth, which is why you will see him on Joss money.

Joss Paper goes back to 1000 B.C., when archaeologist found stones and bones in tombs. During the Spring/ Autumn period, around 1600-1046 A.D., metal money was found. It was fragile made of bronze and lead. The Archaeologists thought that this was an area for the poor, but soon realized it was meant for the wealthy.

Joss money comes in different sizes and denominations. Offering of this money is the preferred method because burning real money is considered disrespectful.

Joss money has now made its way to the West. The offering of Joss money is a way of honoring and veneration towards your deceased.  It is a symbol of transformation and a way to help with spiritual debts. Joss money is sent by the living relatives for the deceased.

When one burns Joss money for a deceased relative it dissolves negative debt karma. You help your ancestors out they will look out for you as well.

Joss money should be burned in a cauldron, porcelain bowl, or porcelain plate. What ever you have that's heat safe will work for burning the money. You can burn Joss money for one particular relative or your whole line.

For those relatives who have transitioned on their birthday, I'll burn Joss money for them by writing their name, birthday and write something special like "I love you".  Burn and then place on my plate and watch it burn completely out.     For your line, I say, " This is for my relatives known and unknown, maternal and paternal. "

Ancestor money is the belief that your deceased relatives still have an existence, and still can influence the  future of the living. Ancestor money is burnt in honor and respect of the deceased. Mitchell Gibson, and Sri Gano Grills have spoken on Ancestor money.

I found this site online called Cow Cow. Cow Cow is a site that helps designers create there designs and sell them online.  You as a designer earn 6.0% for what you create, but if you want to become an affiliate you earn 60%.  The site is pretty nice. Here is a link to some of things that I found interesting.

Teaching Children Financial Responsibility

If you're a parent like I am and have children that are now receiving an allowance, you know that it is now time to teach our children about saving.  I know all of this starts before they get the allowance. Like most children they don't understand staying in a budget until they get a budget called an allowance. So, how does a parent go about teaching a child about finances.

Set a Budget

Let your child know that the money they receive either from an allowance, birthday money, Christmas money, etc is theirs to spend, but that is their budget and they have to stay in it. This gives them the opportunity to make wise decisions on how they circulate their money. If they go over their budget they have to decide out of the products they choose to purchase which is more important to them.

Saving

Let them know that it's okay to save their money. Maybe they have a video game they want or an article of clothing that's catching their eye. They can learn to either save all there money and not touch it or just a certain amount and then save the remainder.  Any loose change around the house they can save in a jar, and when it's full take to a coin star machine.

If you have younger children between the ages of 2-5 years this is a excellent time to teach them to count by using money.

This is our next generation and we should want them to know how to invest better, how and what to circulate the money on.  Not to just purely be consumers.

Parents don't help out with contributing while teaching your child to stay in budget. I know I have twice with mines. Mainly because that parental instinct kicks in that my child needs my help. So, I gave my child that $2-4 extra she needed. Then one day analyzing what I was doing, I said to myself, one day I may not be around and she gets herself in a pickle where she goes over budget. I won't be there to help her, and she'll need to figure it out on her own. So, the next time we where out and about she wanted to stop at Meijets to get her something. I said to her, "You have a budget, and you have to stay in that budget.  If you go over you're just over, I'm not helping out this time." She looked at me dumbfounded.  I asked if she understood, and she responded she did.  Well, she learned to figure out how to stay in her budget. She'll pull her phone out and start calculating her expenses plus tax, and what she should have left. It's hard at first, but it teaches them how to spend. How to calculate expenses, do when they graduate from High School they will already know how to be a little more wise with their money.

Lets Build Together

Welcome to my Phoenix Power Rising Page!

Phoenix Power Rising is a new program where you can earn money and not have to pay any money out of pocket. I was sceptical as some of you may be who are reading this. I joined last week with no money out of my pockets. The program is $120, but I didn't have to pay this, it was paid for me by the company. I signed up, and was issued a url for my site. The person who I have signed under has earned $120 so far. I'll explain how it works.

In this first level at the top is You, and in the second level are the people that You have personally sponsored. When you feel this second row you earn $60. When your fourth row is completed then you earn $90. When your last row of eight is completed then you earn $150.  This is $300 that you have earned, and you get to keep.  You recycle through Level One. You do not have to go to Level Two until you are ready too.  To join, the $120 is paid for you.  When you are ready to go to Level Two, them the fee of $2000 you have to pay, and you can pay for it through the commissions that you have earned, from Level One.

Your people in your Level One follow you if you choose to upgrade to Level Two.  If one of your follows chooses to up grade before you do they go through the commission scale. Once you decide to upgrade all your people who where in your Level Two go back under you.  You can earn up to $1,500 in Level Two.

In Level Three when you're ready to upgrade, you pay the $2,000 entry fee. Again this can come from your earnings.  Again in this level those who where in your first and second  level  come with you.  You only pay these entry fees once, and that's when you upgrade to the level that your going into.

You can still join for free.  Come and let's build together.
