His Power of Presence Soothes (Poem)

He has no clue his power of presence soothes.
My body frazzled in years of being in survival
mode
Feeling constantly like a contestant on Survivor
Fighting through fears like Fear Factor
Staying on the path to always reach the light
But at times knowing I have to embrace night
Facing the Dark Night of my Soul
I've grown.
I've healed.
I've expanded
Skipping down Dorothy's yellow brick road to bump
into you
You caught my eye the first time I saw you
Your presence feeling like the early morning Spring.
Connection energetically flowed
Do I know you? Have we connected in another Lifetime or Timeline
You walked pass me and my nervous system went quiet
The chatter in my mind that keeps me 5 steps
ahead went  hush.
He must be my Superman because ain't no man
ever have the power to sooth me with his presence.
Wanting to know your name.
Wanting to connect to understand if there's truly
something there.
I want to know you
On every level.
See that one time wasn't a fluke.
It happened every single time you made your
presence known in my world.
I could muster hello
Hoping you notice the way the I looked at you.
Yeah, I was flirting.
Or at least trying too.
I haven't been in this dating game for decades
But I want to meet you.
Know your mind
Your likes
Your heart
That's if you're single and what to genuinely share
your time.
There's power in your presence
That calms my system completely
It soothes
